Komal Virk

Registered Dental Hygienist

Komal is a registered dental hygienist who received her diploma in Dental Hygiene from Oxford College in Scarborough in 2007. She joined our team at the beginning of 2022 and is excited to share her extensive experience to help our patients achieve better oral health and self-confidence.

A busy mom of two young adults, Komal loves to spend her free time baking and travelling. If she weren't in the dental field, she would most likely work in a preschool, where her nurturing nature would be put to great use. Komal enjoys Manotick for its strong community culture and village vibe, which makes it a wonderful place to work. She is passionate about providing a comfortable and positive healthcare experience for every patient she sees.

Susan Maniate

Registered Dental Hygienist

Susan joined the Dentistry @ Manotick family in March 2022. With a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from India, Susan brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role as a dental hygienist. Her career journey is one that combines her passion for healthcare with her love of connecting with people from all walks of life.

Susan finds great joy in helping patients improve their oral health, which she believes contributes to their overall well-being. She thrives working with patients who understand the importance of oral health and value the collaborative effort to achieve better outcomes. Her patient-centred approach is rooted in her ability to listen attentively and create a stress-free, comfortable dental experience.

Outside of work, Susan's creativity shines as she enjoys gardening, and she would have pursued a career as an architect if not for her passion for dentistry. She finds balance by volunteering at her church and children's school, as she believes giving back helps foster personal and professional growth. Susan loves Manotick because it's a charming small town that feels like home — family-friendly, rich in history, and surrounded by the natural beauty of the Ottawa River and Rideau Forest. When she's not working, Susan enjoys spending time with her family and supporting local businesses like Home Hardware, The Great Canadian Dollar Store and Take Another Bite.

Danna

Registered Dental Hygienist

Danna is a registered dental hygienist based in Manotick who joined our team in April 2025. She works Saturdays and brings a strong focus on comfort, prevention and patient education.

She is known for her gentle approach, strong clinical knowledge, and warm, welcoming personality. Danna takes pride in creating a calm, positive experience for every patient and helping them feel confident in their oral health care.

Natasha Cutler

Dental Assistant / Accounts Receivable

Natasha graduated from Algonquin College's Level II Dental Assisting program in 2018 and has been a valued member of the team ever since. At a young age Natasha had an interest in the dental field. Natasha takes pride in educating patients on the importance of maintaining their natural teeth for overall health and well-being.

Natasha enjoys connecting with patients in a heart-warming and friendly way, so patients have comfortable and positive visits.

When Natasha is not working, she spends quality time with friends and family, especially her two children. Natasha loves camping and experiencing new things with her kids.

Varshini Ramalingam

Dental Assistant

Varshini earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and is passionate about the impact that dentistry has on overall health. She is pursuing her licensing process for becoming a dentist in Canada.

Varshini's favourite part of her job is seeing patients leave the office happy and satisfied with their care. If she weren't in dentistry, Varshini might have pursued a career in astronomy, as she has always been fascinated by how the universe was formed and enjoys stargazing. She loves the quiet, friendly atmosphere of Manotick. Her favourite local spots include 692 Coffee & Bar, where she enjoys their delicious scones, The Olive Branch, and the local donut shops.

Varshini's hard work and attention to detail are her standout qualities, ensuring that every patient receives the best possible care. When she's not working, she loves painting, camping and gardening, connecting with nature and letting her creativity flourish.

Samiha, known as "Sam" to her colleagues, holds a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Iloilo Doctors' College and is a licensed dentist in the Philippines. With a deep passion for improving both health and self-confidence through dentistry, Sam finds fulfilment in helping patients relieve pain, enhance their smiles and maintain long-term oral wellness. She enjoys working with proactive patients and loves seeing them return with noticeable improvements.

Now part of the team at Dentistry @ Manotick, Sam brings adaptability, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to fostering a positive and supportive environment for both patients and staff.

Sam loves Manotick because it combines small-town charm with its proximity to Ottawa. The historic village, lovely shops, cozy cafés and scenic riverside views make it a welcoming community — the perfect place for nature lovers, with plenty of parks and trails for outdoor activities. Sam enjoys supporting local favourites like Little Victories Café, Lansdowne's weekend markets and Juice Dudez. Outside of work, Sam loves experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen and going on scenic drives with her husband to discover hidden gems.

Zena graduated from Algonquin College as a Level II Dental Assistant in 2024. She's passionate about dentistry, loves learning new things, and enjoys growing in her career.

She loves caring for patients and creating a positive experience throughout their visit. Outside of work, she loves staying active at the gym, spending time with loved ones, and making memories.

Theresa Fenning

Office Manager

Theresa completed her Bachelor's in Psychology at Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. After several years working as a bartender and bar manager, she transitioned into dental administration, carrying over a strong foundation in customer service, organization and multitasking.

She brings a unique blend of administrative expertise and people-centred care to the dental office, ensuring that patients feel supported, informed and comfortable every step of the way. With a degree in psychology and years of experience in customer service, she understands the importance of clear communication, empathy and creating a positive environment for both patients and staff. Her calm and friendly demeanour helps put even the most nervous patients at ease.

Theresa is passionate about contributing to a practice that values kindness, quality care and meaningful patient relationships. She takes pride in being part of a team that helps people feel confident in their smiles and comfortable in their care. Outside of work, she enjoys staying active at the gym, going on long walks with her dog Athena, and spending weekends camping in the great outdoors.

Ajay Mander

Administrative Assistant

Ajay has completed his business degree from Cambrian College. His curiosity and desire to learn led him to the dental field, where he enjoys exploring new career choices and gaining insights into the medical world.

Ajay loves interacting with patients and learning about their lives. His friendly and conversational nature helps him bond with patients, making them feel comfortable and connected during their visits. If he weren't in dentistry, Ajay would be a photographer or videographer, as he loves capturing and editing pictures as well as making motion videos.

Ajay appreciates the calm and peaceful environment of Manotick, with its less-crowded streets and charming atmosphere. He enjoys visiting local businesses like the bakeries for donuts and cookies, ice cream shops with unique flavours, and Manotick Stationery, which gives a warm, homey feeling. When not at work, he enjoys spending time outdoors by the river, relaxing at coffee shops and indulging in video games. Ajay brings strong communication skills and a genuine passion for learning about the work that dentists and hygienists do.

Evelyn Herbert

Administrative Assistant

Evelyn holds an Advanced Business Diploma from St. Lawrence College and brings a strong background in administration, customer service, communication and community engagement to her role at Dentistry @ Manotick. Throughout her education and professional experience, Evelyn has developed a passion for creating welcoming environments, helping others, and making sure people feel heard and supported.

Her experience working in fast-paced, people-focused environments has strengthened her organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining a friendly and positive attitude. Evelyn particularly enjoys connecting with patients and being part of a team where she can continue learning and growing within the dental field.

Outside of work, Evelyn enjoys spending time with her family, staying active, exploring new places, and being involved in her community. She also has a strong interest in sustainability and giving back, having previously worked in a sustainability-focused role and participated in community and leadership initiatives.

Evelyn is excited to build relationships with patients and families in the community while continuing to learn and grow as part of the Dentistry @ Manotick team.
